Wallace’s family are Christians from Pakistan. They were aggressively targeted by extremists. This aggression culminated in a strike on Wallace’s home, where they assaulted his entirely family, and severely beat Wallace. Forced to flee, they hid in friends’ houses in Pakistan, before an NGO was able to send them to Thailand.
In Thailand, their lives still teetered on the brink of disaster. Because they could not pay their rent on time, their landlord kicked them out of their apartment, and they were forced to live in a very dangerous part of town. However, thanks to the help of Life Raft advocates and supporters, they were able to survive.
Wallace and his family were recently resettled to the United States in October 2013!
